Privacy Notice

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Nelija Miseikiene, trading as Nele in Zurich, collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website, use the Swiss Health Insurance Check-up, join the Swiss Health Insurance Guide 2027 waitlist, subscribe to emails, contact me, or purchase a digital product.

I aim to collect only the information needed to provide these services and communicate with you.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is:

Nelija Miseikiene
Trading as Nele in Zurich
Zurich, Switzerland

Email: hello@neleinzurich.ch

Additional information, including a postal address, can be provided on request by email to hello@neleinzurich.ch.

For any questions about your personal data, this Privacy Notice, or requests relating to your data, please contact hello@neleinzurich.ch.

2. What personal data I collect

Depending on how you use this website, I may collect the following information.

Information you provide directly may include:

  • your first name
  • your email address
  • information you submit through sign-up forms, for example the Guide waitlist or the free calculator
  • messages you send to me by email or through a contact form
  • marketing preferences and consent
  • purchase and transaction information if you buy a product in the future

Please do not submit medical records, diagnoses, insurance policy numbers or other unnecessary sensitive information through forms or emails.

Information collected automatically may include:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • pages visited
  • date and time of visits
  • referring website or campaign
  • interactions with pages and forms
  • cookies and similar technologies

This information may be used to operate the website, maintain security and understand how visitors use the site.

3. Swiss Health Insurance Check-up

The check-up runs on my website at neleinzurich.ch. Your answers are not recorded. They stay in your own browser, on your own device, so you can come back to your results. I do not receive them, I do not store them in a database and I do not link them to your name or email address.

You can remove them at any time by choosing "Start again" on the results page, or by clearing this website's data in your browser.

The check-up asks about general insurance circumstances, not medical diagnoses. It is an educational tool. It does not provide personalised insurance advice, medical advice or an insurer recommendation.

If you later join the Guide waitlist or sign up for the free calculator, I receive only the name and email address you enter there. I do not receive your check-up answers.

An earlier version of the check-up was built in Kajabi. If you completed that version, your answers are held in Kajabi, and I can delete them on request.

4. Waitlist and email communications

If you join the Swiss Health Insurance Guide 2027 waitlist, I may use your name and email address to send you:

  • confirmation and welcome emails
  • educational information about Swiss health insurance
  • updates about the development of the Swiss Health Insurance Guide 2027
  • information about its eventual launch
  • related Nele in Zurich content where you have agreed to receive it

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in marketing emails.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not necessarily require deletion of information that I must keep for legal, accounting, security or transaction purposes.

5. Purchases

If paid products become available, I may process information necessary to:

  • process your order
  • provide access to the purchased product
  • send transactional emails
  • provide customer support
  • maintain accounting and transaction records
  • comply with legal obligations

Payment information may be processed directly by a payment provider such as Stripe.

I do not need to receive or store your full payment-card details.

6. Why I process personal data

I process personal data where necessary to:

  • provide the website, check-up and digital products
  • respond to your requests
  • manage the Guide waitlist
  • send communications you have requested or agreed to receive
  • fulfil purchases and contracts
  • maintain and secure the website
  • understand and improve my content and services
  • comply with legal and accounting obligations
  • protect legitimate business and security interests

Where consent is required, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

7. Service providers

I use third-party service providers where necessary to operate the website and provide the services.

Kajabi

The website, landing pages, forms, assessments, contact records, email sequences and digital products may be hosted and managed using Kajabi.

Information you submit through Kajabi may therefore be processed by Kajabi on my behalf.

Stripe

If you purchase a product, payments may be processed through Stripe.

Stripe processes payment and transaction information under its own privacy and security practices.

Other providers

I may also use service providers for:

  • website hosting and infrastructure
  • email delivery
  • analytics
  • security
  • accounting
  • technical support

I only intend to share personal data where reasonably necessary for those services or where required by law.

I do not sell your personal data to insurers, brokers or other advertisers.

8. International data transfers

Some service providers used for this website may process or store personal data outside Switzerland, including in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, I take reasonable steps to use providers and contractual safeguards intended to protect that data in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

This website may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • remembering website preferences
  • maintaining site functionality
  • security
  • understanding website usage
  • measuring the performance of content or campaigns

Some cookies may be placed by third-party services integrated into the website.

Where required, you will be able to control optional cookies through the available cookie settings or through your browser.

10. How long I keep personal data

I keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

For example:

  • waitlist and marketing information may be retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • check-up answers given to the earlier Kajabi version, if any, may be retained until you ask me to delete them
  • customer and transaction information may be retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and legal requirements
  • correspondence may be retained where reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries or maintain business records

When personal data is no longer needed, I will delete it or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.

11. Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask whether I process personal data about you
  • request access to your personal data
  • request correction of inaccurate information

I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

12. Data security

I take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet-based service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

13. Children

This website and the Swiss Health Insurance Guide are intended for adults managing their own or their family's insurance decisions.

I do not intentionally ask children to submit personal data directly through the website.

Parents may receive educational information relating to children's or family health insurance.

14. External links

This website may contain links to third-party websites, including official Swiss authorities and other external services.

I am not responsible for how those third parties process personal data. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit their websites.

15. Changes to this Privacy Notice

I may update this Privacy Notice if the website, services, technology or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this website with the date of the latest update.

16. Applicable data-protection law

This Privacy Notice is primarily intended to reflect the requirements of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

If other data-protection laws apply to a particular visitor or processing activity, additional rights or obligations may also apply.
